Reginald Tucker, who creates under the artist name R. Tucker, is a Los Angeles-based mixed media artist and founder of Recycled Abstract, a platform rooted in transformation, material memory, and layered storytelling. His work repurposes discarded magazines, consumer packaging, and found objects into sculptural collages and functional art. Recent pieces developed during his residency at Art Share LA include RARE Forms, a furniture-based series that blurs the line between design and conceptual art. Outside the studio, he works in finance where systems, pattern recognition, and precision bleed into his layered, material-driven approach to making.

Ellsworth Artist Residency Annual Exhibition
The Ellsworth Artist Residency program is dedicated to creating an accessible studio space for artists and is a dynamic opportunity for emerging artists to work and develop their visual art practice. The residency includes professional development opportunities including studio visits with curators, critics, scholars and artists as well as inclusion in a group exhibition in Art Share L.A.’s gallery. A selection committee, consisting of professionals in the field, including curators, scholars, and artists, reviews all the submitted applications.
