Born and based in Los Angeles and active in the Southern California graffiti and post-graffiti scene since the early nineties, BIPOC multimedia artist Augustine Kofie (b. 1973) works in painting, collage and mural interventions. Kofie’s fine art practice draws together the languages of graffiti’s deconstructive lettering, mechanical drafting, modern architecture, and constructivism, creating a unique take on modern abstraction, or as the artists refers to as ‘Vintage Futurism.’ His work is in both national and international private collections and has appeared on numerous book and album covers.

Burning Bright: The Strength, Struggle, & Survival of L.A. Artists
Burning Brightis more than a print exhibition; it is a fundraiser dedicated to supporting the artists who have been directly impacted by the fires. Proceeds from sales will go toward the Pelayo Foundation’s fire relief fund, ensuring that those who give so much to the cultural fabric of L.A. have the resources to continue their work.
