Mary Lai is a multifaceted artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her outlook is that “Art is a universal language that can speak to anyone” and her dreamer mindset is reflected in her vibrant contemporary artwork that aims to uplift and evoke emotion. Her diverse work spans paintings, mixed media art, illustrations, large-scale murals, and sculptures. With over 20 years of experience in art and design, her artistic journey began with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and a decade-long career in NYC as an award-winning fashion accessories designer. Lai is known for her dynamic compositions, rich use of color, and evocative narratives. The seasoned artist has worked with several notable brands and exhibited at leading art fairs & galleries where she continues to explore her artistic expression to create art with impact.

Burning Brightis more than a print exhibition; it is a fundraiser dedicated to supporting the artists who have been directly impacted by the fires. Proceeds from sales will go toward the Pelayo Foundation’s fire relief fund, ensuring that those who give so much to the cultural fabric of L.A. have the resources to continue their work.
